Details 363 came from The Death of Bara (1793-4), Jacques-Louis David's memorial to the quasi-legendary boy-martyr killed during the French Revolution by royalists for refusing to shout "Vive Le Roi!" The picture is in the Musee Calvet, Avignon.
The first three correct answers came from Adrienne Slack of London SE3; David Irwin of Aberdeen, and Tom Jones of Sutton Coldfield, W Midlands. Each will receive a bottle of champagne, as will this week's winners. Answers, on a postcard (to arrive by Wed 17 Dec), to: DETAILS 364, IoS, 1 Canada Sq, E14 5DL.
Next week we'll run our Christmas Details competition; the usual Details will return, with the solution to today's clue, on 4 Jan.Reuse content
