Bite into the world's first 18+ cake shop
Show all 18Staffed by zombies and serving 666 edible Halloween creations each day, the world’s first 18+ cake shop opened in London today.
The gruesome confectioner, styled to resemble horror game Silent Hill, was created by the group of foodies responsible for the entirely edible art exhibition Cake Britain, which opened in September.
The Mad Artists Tea Party, galvanised by founder Miss Cakehead, included culinary creatives Bompas & Parr, Lily Vanilli and Ms Cupcake.
They got together to see what disgusting-looking-yet-delicious sweets they could bake to celebrate Halloween.
Among their creations are cupcakes which bite back, vials filled with blood red icing, edible eyeball stew and a bleeding heart Victoria sponge garnished with marzipan maggots.
“[The cakes] are truly for adult eyes only, certified 18 in accordance with the criteria of the film classification board,” the exhibition creators said.
‘Eat Your Heart Out & The Pretox Potion’ is at the ‘dungeon’ of Maiden, 1888 Shoreditch High Street in London from today until Halloween on Sunday.
