If you missed the Affordable Art Fair when it was in Hampstead a couple of weeks ago, then never fear. London is playing host to yet another opportunity to spot the next Tracey Emin or Damien Hirst this weekend.

The work of 400 artists will be on display at the capacious Bow Arts Studios which throws open its doors to the public at the end of June annually.

You will have the chance to explore the large network of Victorian buildings on Bow Road which house 150 studio spaces, a gallery, cafes and work by a host of emerging artists, sculptors, designers, craftsmen and women.

The locked site is normally accessible only to those who work and live in the tight knit Bow Arts community. The open studios enables visitors to see artwork exhibited in the artists’ own environment.

Bow Arts is a charity which helps artists to rent affordable studio spaces in London and a proportion of rent is invested in creating community art projects in the local area, often engaging local children and schools.

Bow Arts Open Studios 29-30 June: Opening times: Saturday 6-9pm, Sunday 12-6pm, 181/183 Bow Road, London, E3 2SJ, Admission Free; www.bowarts.org
