Visual arts

The new Saatchi Gallery is great. For its tragicomedy, I liked 'Old Persons Home' by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu, satirising world leaders by placing them in randomly circulating wheelchairs. Yoko Ono at the Liverpool Biennial is good, too, including her 'Skyladders' installation at the city's 'Bombed Out Church'.

Books

I'm currently reading just about every book that's ever been published about Andy Warhol – a huge pile of them. But his own writings are best, such as 'The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B & Back Again)'.

Television

I like to watch American TV series, including the police drama 'The Wire', 'Mad Men', about a fictional ad agency, and the action drama '24', which is presented in real time.

Music

Right now, I'm listening to South African music by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, English electro-pop by The Ting Tings, and Amy Winehouse.

Theatre

Ben Whishaw and Gawn Grainger were fantastic in 'Some Trace of Her' at the National. I found the use of multimedia fascinating.

Alison Jackson is now showing a sculpture at Tate Liverpool and a film about Amy Winehouse at FACT Liverpool, as part of the Biennial. Her Portraits of Theatre Luminaries opens at J Sheekey's new Oyster Bar in London WC2 on 20 November
