Bassist and cheese-maker Alex James has completed his journey from regular at the Groucho to pillar of the Chipping Norton set, as this image demonstrates. James is seen consorting with David Cameron and Jeremy Clarkson (and Cameron's baby, Florence) at Harvest, a festival of food and other unashamedly bourgeois pursuits, organised by James at his farm in Oxfordshire. James's features betray mild apprehension, as if he's thinking: "Oh dear, what's Damon going to think when he sees this?" Blur bandmate Damon Albarn declined Tony Blair's invitation to the "Cool Britannia" reception at Number 10, saying he'd converted to communism. So one imagines he wouldn't be seen dead standing next to a Conservative Prime Minister, not to mention a Top Gear presenter.
