Iconic Diana dresses on display at Kensington Palace
Show all 13From today members of the public will be able to glimpse five of the most famous dresses worn by Princess Diana on display at the newly reopened Kensington Palace.
The exhibition will showcase never-previously-displayed dresses, including a black Emanuel taffeta gown, a formal ivory dinner dress and a fuschia and purple cocktail number. Interior designer and stylist Finola Inger has created a theatrical backdrop for them, which includes bespoke wallpaper inspired by some of the Princess’s key fashion momentsby artist Julie Verhoeven.
The Diana exhibition at Kensington Palace, a former residence of the Princess's, forms part of an Historic Royal Palaces £12m refurbishment of the visitor's area, being made ready in time for the the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics.
