Ink artist Clifford Charles is to have his latest collection exhibited at Pallant House Gallery next week.

An African-born artist, Charles is known for his evocative ink drawings which draw on the fluidity of life in post-apartheid South Africa.

The first black student to graduate with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Witwatersrand during apartheid South Africa, Charles has had his work held in both public and private collections.

In his latest collection he explores the changeable nature of water meeting ink.

Clifford Charles: Less ness is on display at Pallant House Gallery, 9 North Pallant, Chichester, West Sussex, from 16 August until 9 October. To find out more, visit www.pallant.org.uk
