Mick, Manchester: 'It was a cold day in November. Mick was clinging to a blanket to ease the chill. He stood against the flow of shoppers and heard the jibes from passing teenagers: 'He's gonna break your camera,' and so on. He said he'd heard those comments all his life. Mick has been on the street for 10 years. Despite his lot – the pain, the anger, the disillusionment and the struggle - he continues to hold his head up high and look towards something brighter, perhaps in the knowledge that one day soon his turn will come. There is hope.'
