US poaches Tate Modern curator
The woman in charge of filling the Tate Modern's turbine hall has been poached by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Sheena Wagstaff will leave her role as chief curator at the London attraction to oversee a new department devoted to art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Thomas Campbell, Met Museum director, hopes the appointment will bring some of the Tate Modern magic to his institution.
