During the week of September 20 the world's largest global photography and imaging fair will be held in Cologne, Germany. Over 150,000 visitors are expected to attend the event which showcases an impressive selection of photographs taken by leading international photographers. On September 25 the second oldest Biennial in the world, the Bienal de São Paulo, will take place in Brazil.

The Bienal de São Paulo is the second oldest art biennial in the world (second only to the Venice Biennial). Gauguin: Maker of Myth

Turner Prize 2010

The often controversial Turner Prize was established in 1984 and is awarded to a British artist under 50 for his or her outstanding exhibition or other presentation of work in the 12 months preceding April 27, 2010. This year's shortlisted artists are Dexter Dalwood, Angela de la Cruz, Susan Philipsz and The Otolith Group. Works by the shortlisted artists will be shown in an exhibition at Tate Britain opening on October 4. The winner will be announced at Tate Britain on December 6 during a live broadcast by Channel 4.
