Standalone thriller Caught by Harlan Coben continued to be Amazon's best-selling Kindle e-book for the week ending April 3, according to a list released April 6 by Publishers Marketplace. In second and third are Stieg Larsson's hit thrillers The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire, both from the internationally bestselling Millennium trilogy.

Three new books made the top ten: Deception by Jonathan Kellerman, Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs, and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson. The first two are new installments in bestselling series: Deception is the 25th title in Kellerman's Alex Delaware crime series, about a child psychologist who consults for the police, and Silver Borne is the fifth book in Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson urban fantasy series, about a garage mechanic who is also a shapeshifter raised by werewolves.

Major Pettigrew's Last Stand, published March 2, is the debut novel by Helen Simonson. Chosen by as one of the best books of the month, it focuses on an English widower and his attempts to keep greedy relatives from selling a valuable family heirloom. The New York Times compared the novel to "the polished work of Alexander McCall Smith," and The Times praised its "slow-burning pleasure."
