Kindle best-sellers: Millennium trilogy, 'The 9th Judgment,' 'Burned'

Stieg Larsson's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, from the Swedish author's ever-popular Millennium trilogy, remains Amazon's best-selling Kindle e-book for the week ending May 1, according to a list released May 4 by Publishers Marketplace. Harlan Coben's standalone thriller Caught remains in second, while James Patterson's newest detective novel, The 9th Judgment, debuts in third.

Published on April 26, The 9th Judgment is the latest installment in Patterson's Women's Murder Club series, which he co-writes with Maxime Paetro. The series revolves around San Francisco detective Lindsay Boxer and the cases she and her team solve.

Burned, another new title in the top ten, is the latest addition to the young adult series House of Night written by P. C. Cast and her daughter, Kristin Cast. The books follow the adventures of Zoey Redbird, a 16-year-old girl and fledgling vampire who is required to attend the House of Night boarding school in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
