China said Google has probably breached copyright laws by scanning Chinese books for its online library and supported writers to "defend their rights", state media reported Tuesday.

Among its annual highlights are its public forums, which gather thinkers from the Spanish-speaking world and beyond. A complete audio version of the New King James Bible was released in October by Christian publishing company Thomas Nelson. A nearly four-year project, The Word of Promise, all 98 hours and 79 CDs worth, uses more than 600 actors, plus full score and sound effects, to tell every story of the Old and New Testament.

On November 24, Michael Crichton's final complete novel will be published internationally by HarperCollins. Pirate Latitudes was discovered as a complete manuscript in the author's files after his death in 2008.
