DailyLit, a website that allows users to receive books and stories in serialized form by email or RSS feed, announced December 1 that all of its offerings are now free. To mark the change, fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg, a DailyLit sponsor, will make the book Madame de Staël available on the site through January 2010.

DailyLit.com relies on sponsors - such as HarperStudio, Random House, and von Furstenberg - who make books and stories available on the site for a limited or an indefinite period of time. Visitors to the site search or browse through offerings, then choose a title and indicate how they want to receive it (email or RSS feed) and the frequently of the installments.

Von Furstenburg's offering, Madame de Staël: The First Modern Woman, was written in 2008 by Francine du Plessix Gray, a Pulitzer Prize nominee.
