My Grammar and I...is a book in the Eats, Shoots and Leaves mould: a guide to the dos and don'ts of English.
For the most part it is a surprisingly engaging read, with tips on spelling and punctuation interspersed with facts on the history of language. But be warned, to get any use out of it you'll need to endure some truly groan-inducing attempts at humour from authors who seem desperate to prove they aren't just fuddy-duddy grammarians.
"Gags" include the suggested chat-up line: "Can I end this sentence with a preposition?" To which the appropriate response is, presumably: "Please leave me alone, you insufferable pedant."
