Two of the hottest celebrities on Twitter are due to publish new memoirs, according to two separate June 15 announcements. Actress Demi Moore and American comedian/TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will chronicle their lives in books expected out in 2012 and fall 2011, respectively.

Both celebrities are likely to benefit from their top status on Twitter: At last check, DeGeneres's Twitter account for her talk show, The Ellen Show, was the third most popular Twitter account as ranked by twitaholic.com, boasting more than 4.75 million followers. Moore's account, on which the actress chronicles mostly day-to-day activites, is ranked at 18 with 2.75 million followers, and her celebrity husband, Ashton Kutcher, is one of Twitter's most notorious micro-bloggers, coming in second with more than 5 million fans.

Demi Moore's as-yet-unnamed biography, a representative for UK publisher Fourth Estate told The Bookseller, "will be framed by her complicated relationship with her mother, Virginia King, who died in 1998, and her own experiences as a mother to three daughters." The title, Moore's first, is tentatively scheduled for release in 2012.

Ellen DeGeneres's book, also untitled, will "look at her life through her humor," according to a press release from Grand Central Publishing. The comedian has published two previous books, My Point. And I Do Have One (1995) and The Funny Thing Is (2003), both of which pre-date Twitter and became US bestsellers. DeGeneres's new title is slated for publication in fall 2011.
