You wait for years for some really big, meaty movies and what happens? They all come along at once. Having already been blessed with the splendid Heat and Seven in the space of a month, last week was close to overkill. But after a photo-finish, the results are in, and Trainspotting has steamed ahead, winning by a nose on 12 screens to Casino's 11 and beating Sense and Sensibility, which is better than both of them. (All figures denote weekend box-office only)
