In Britain, The Brady Bunch has beaten Jack and Sarah, Tim Sullivan's bittersweet comedy about one man (Richard E Grant, above) and his baby, into first place, but Jack and Sarah is grossing far higher per screen averages at fewer cinemas. America has been stormed by Congo, an adventure about a lost expedition to the African rain forest directed by Frank Marshall, who made Arachnophobia and Alive.
