Church Appointments

The following appointments have been announced by the Church of England:

The Rev Nick Atkins, Team Vicar, North Wingfield, Clay Cross and Pilsley (Derby): has been appointed Vicar, Essington (Lichfield).

The Rev Reg Baldock, Curate, Salterhebble All Saints (Wakefield): has been appointed Priest-in-Charge, Bournemouth St John, St Michael and All Angels (Winchester).

The Rev Margaret Desmond, NSM, Filton (Bristol) to be also part-time Assistant Chaplain, HMP Bristol (same diocese).

The Rev Caroline Dick, Curate, Harton St Peter (Durham): to be also Board of Responsibility Development Officer (same diocese).

The Rev Hilary Hanke, Team Vicar, Wordsley, and Convenor for Women in Ministry (Worcester): to be also Honorary Canon of Worcester Cathedral (same diocese).

The Rev John Harkin, Priest-in-Charge, Mickleham, and Chaplain, Box Hill School (Guildford); to be Ministre Desservant, Jersey St Ouen (Winchester).

The Rev David Howard, Priest-in-Charge, Bilborough with Strelley (Southwell): to be Chaplain, HMYOI Werrington House (Lichfield).

The Rev Ian Jagger, Team Rector, Fareham Holy Trinity with St Columba, and Rural Dean of Fareham (Portsmouth): to be Residentiary Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral (Canon Missioner).

The Rev David Little, Team Vicar, Bath Twerton-on-Avon (Bath and Wells): to be Deputy Chaplain, HMP Bristol (Bristol).

The Rev Jennifer Oakes, Assistant Curate, Fradswell, Gayton, Milwich and Weston, and Hixon with Stowe-by- Chartley (Lichfield): to be Priest-in-Charge, Standon and Cotes Heath (same diocese).

The Rev Richard Reeve, Curate (known as Associate Vicar), Acton Green (London): to be Vicar, Hayes St Edmund of Canterbury (same diocese).

The Rev Tina Stirling, Curate (Team Vicar designate), Thame with Towersey (Oxford): to be Priest-in-Charge, Brill Boarstall, Chilton and Dorton (same diocese)

RESIGNATIONS and RETIREMENTS

The Rev Alan Brooksbank, Vicar, Claines (Worcester): retired 30 Sept- ember.

Canon John Ridout, Rector, Bredon with Bredon's Norton, and Honorary Canon of Worcester Cathedral (Worcester): to retire 15 October.

Canon Colin Scott-Dempster, Vicar, Chieveley with Winterbourne and Oare, and Rural Dean of Newbury (Oxford) resigned as Rural Dean 7 July.

Prebendary Derek Tinsley, Vicar, Cheddleton (Lichfield): to retire 2 November on health grounds.
