Florilegium's third disc of music from the Bolivian missions opens with a carol. "Fuera, Fuera!" is a dialogue between local Indians and Spanish shepherds in which both groups hurry to Bethlehem, laughing at each other.

Velasco's sinuous "Missa Octavo" shows the Bolivian singers' soft blend to great effect, while "Sonata Chiquitana" is a sophisticated foil to the simplicity of Araujo's "Al Llanto". James Johnstone's performance of Zipoli's "All'Offertorio" reveals the smoky tones of the 18th-century organ of Santa Ana de Chiquitos.
