Like an increasing number of classical performers – most notably John Eliot Gardiner with SDG Records – the Labèque sisters have reacted to an industry in recession by establishing their own outlet, KML Recordings.

This five CD/one DVD box compiles together their albums dedicated to the piano music of individual composers, from the limpid elegance of their fellow Basque, Ravel, through their absorbing interpretations of Satie, to the Stravinsky works specifically written for four hands, such as the exercises "Five Easy Pieces" and "Three Easy Pieces", which contrary to their titles offer perhaps the greatest challenges, and the greatest opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.
