Chris Barrie & Norman Lovett On tour

Virtually the entire cast of Red Dwarf seem to be on the live comedy circuit this spring. Craig Charles has just completed a tour, and Hattie Hayridge has been gigging. Now it is the turn of Chris Barrie and Norman Lovett (above) - that's Rimmer and Holly to Dwarfies - to do their live thing. Barrie, one of the original voices on Spitting Image, has not done a stage show for five years. The star of The Brittas Empire is promising a "fusion of impressions and stand-up". Lovett has been on the circuit for years - he was one of the first acts to appear at the Comedy Store and was doing a deadpan act long before Jack Dee ever donned a suit and a scowl.

Chris Barrie and Norman Lovett's joint national tour opens at High Wycombe Town Hall (01494 512000) tonight and continues at St Albans Arena (01727 844488) Thur, and Tottenham Millfield Theatre (0181-807 6680) Fri
