Nish Kumar tears into Jeremy Clarkson for A-Level results day tweet: ‘Shut the f*** up’

‘How about you appreciate your experience is of no relevance,’ comedian said

Nish Kumar has seemingly blasted Jeremy Clarkson for boasting about his wealth in an annual tweet he posts every A-Level results day.

The Grand Tour host was mocked widely on Twitter for sending yet another message in which he mentions his career success despite receiving “two Us and a C”.

“A level results not great? Don’t worry, I got a C and 2 Us and I’m currently building a large house with far reaching views of the Cotswolds,” he told his followers.

Kumar, who responded without referencing Clarkson, seemed particularly riled by the fact the broadcaster posted the tweet during a pandemic, when students were given mock grades due to the cancellation of exams.

Clarkson alluded to this in a follow-up post, writing: “And I didn’t even get the chance to insist the government gave me three As instead.”

Soon after Clarkson’s message, Kumar suggested he learn that his grades are “of no relevance” to students whose papers have been marked down.

”Instead of tweeting ‘my A-Levels were s*** & I’m still a millionaire’, how about you appreciate your experience is of no relevance to a group of people graduating into a global pandemic & a government who decided to have the papers marked down by HAL from 2001,” he wrote.

Kumar added: “Shut the f*** up.”

Many others mocked the TV host for being “tedious” and “predictable”.

Celebrities to send messages of good luck to school leavers included Davina McCall, Gordon Ramsay and Jack Thorne, who said he was “sorry” for how “badly” this year’s students have been treated by the government.
