Royal Ballet on tour
The Royal Ballet splits into two for small-scale tours once again, but this year some experienced outside choreographers have been brought in to supplement in-house hopefuls. Tour 1 includes Michael Corder's new Masquerade, set to Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite, and a revival of David Bintley's Mozart Galanteries, plus new pieces by Cathy Marston and Ashley Page. The core of Tour 2 is Ashton's classic Monotones, to Satie music, and Nearing Poetry, created by Mark Baldwin to Julian Anderson's music, plus numbers by Page and William Tuckett.
