Having graced the Oscars and been seen worldwide by six million people, Stomp (below), founded in Brighton, are returning home for a nationwide tour starting in London this week. The eight possessed performers use everything from bins, brushes, basins, sand, cigarettes and plumbers' plungers as unlikely props to hammer out a pulsating and witty symphony which ranges in tone and mood from the frenzied to the ethereal.

The Round House, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 (Wed-Dec 27), then nationwide until March (for details, call: 0171-482 4000)
