TIME MAGAZINE once said that Walter Matthau (right) was "about as likely a candidate for stardom as the neighbourhood delicatessen man." But his bloke-next-door quality is in fact just what makes him such a star; audiences warm to his down-to-earth familiarity. He delivers his now trademark grumpy old man performance in I'm Not Rappaport (8pm Sky Premier), a version of the hit stage play, which is receiving its satellite premiere tonight. He and Ossie Davis play a pair of elderly gentlemen who meet up every day on a park-bench to debate - often with some vigour - the issues of the day.
