Freddie Boultwood, Chairman of the British Council of Ballroom Dancing, on Come Dancing (BBC1 Mon): 'Ever since I've been dancing, I've either participated in it, judged it or watched it. It's a must for all dancers. It's just not fair how it is knocked by the press. The critics play it down and make snide remarks; in a lot of incidents they're just trying to be clever. No programme is perfect, but it gives a good view of the amateur couples who devote their lives to dancing.'
