George Lucas's never-ending sci-fi saga gets an animation makeover, which at least spares us the agony of watching perfectly decent actors sporting hideous costumes and spouting banalities to one another.

"You can type this shit, George", as Harrison Ford allegedly remarked, "but you sure as hell can't say it".

Kids may love every minute of this diffusion-range cartoon with its whizz-bangs and incomprehensible battle tactics, but the only thing that would make me punch the air is the sight of the syntax-mangling Yoda being comprehensively squashed. Alas, we have not heard the last from the old gonk.
