Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Shirley Bassey and the cast of Les Miserables will sing on stage at the Oscars this Sunday.
Hudson and Zeta-Jones are to perform their respective Oscar-winning performances from Dreamgirls and Chicago. The cast of Les Miserables will also join them in performing songs from the Oscar-nominated film on stage.
Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks and Helena Bonham Carter have been confirmed to sing so far, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Shirley Bassey will also perform as part of a 50th anniversary celebration of James Bond, along with Adele who is already confirmed to sing her Oscar-nominated Bond soundtrack “Skyfall”.
Co-producer Neil Meron said: “The truth of the matter is the music of James Bond has been sadly overlooked for years and years and years by the Academy and never won. And it’s fantastic music. We can’t do everything but it is going to be represented.”
The Academy Awards are broadcast in the UK on Sky HD Oscars from 1.30am on Monday 25 February. Viewers can watch the red carpet live from 11.30pm on Sky Living on Sunday 24 February.
