Of the more than 400 events at the 41st annual Comic-Con International, July 22-25, the program includes presentations by film studios and television networks showcasing new productions. Disney's plans include a significant presence for Tron Legacy at this year's event.

A splashy panel will include the film's director Joe Kosinski and cast members including Oscar winner Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, and Bruce Boxleitner attending the event.

This return visit to Comic-Con will include a look at film excerpts this year, on the preview day July 21, including footage in 3D, a trailer and featuring Daft Punk's original score for Legacy.

There will be an interactive Tron booth at the convention with a preview of merchandise including toys, electronics, collectibles, apparel and the new Tron: Evolution video game. Exclusive Comic-Con Tron products will be displayed and sold. Tron Legacy opens worldwide and on IMAX Dec. 17.

The official schedule is forthcoming but some studios are announcing their plans ahead of time. In addition to film studios offering an advance look at superhero, sci-fi and paranormal fare, from Green Hornet to Green Lantern, independent and international comics, manga, comics publishers, anime/manga, action figure, and video gaming companies will provide a comprehensive preview of upcoming products.
