Doctor Who and Red Mist join ‘Fright Night’

The upcoming redo of ‘Fright Night,' the 1985 cult comedy horror film, fills out the cast with David Tennant, star of the BBC series
Doctor Who and Christopher Mintz-Plasse who played Fishlegs in
How To Train Your Dragon and Red Mist in Kick-Ass.
The actors join Anton Yelchin ( Terminator Salvation, Star Trek), a teen who discovers the neighbor is a vampire, Toni Collette ( Little Miss Sunshine) as his disbelieving mother, and Colin Farrell, the neighborly vampire.
Tennant plays Peter Vincent, a character from the original film, who is a Las Vegas magician in this version, and supposedly a vampire expert. Mintz-Plasse plays Evil Ed, Yelchin's friend.
The film is directed by Craig Gillespie ( Lars and the Real Girl, Mr. Woodcock).
Farrell appears in a variety of films from the independent mythical tale Ondine this weekend, the upcoming comedy Horrible Bosses co-starring Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman, and David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis with Marion Cotillard.
