A new one-minute trailer for David Fincher's
The Social Network, about the launch of Facebook, has been released featuring Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg and Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, the founders of the internet phenomenon.
Compared to previous innovative teasers, this is a straightforward trailer depicting the story of the website's start as a social climbing tool turning into an overnight success. The dramatic fallout of losing a best friend while connecting 500 million friends.
The film also features Justin Timberlake and Kanye West's latest single "Power," which is heard behind the footage.
Based on Ben Mezrich's book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, the screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin, the creator of The West Wing.
The film releases in North America October 1 and around the world through 2010.
