Fear the Walking Dead star Cliff Curtis is to swap Mexico for Pandora following the announcement that he will play a lead role in all four Avatar sequels.

Deadline confirmed that the Travis Manawa actor will play Tonowari, the leader of reef clan Metkayina, in all sequels, some of which are reported to be set 'underwater.'

Curtis will join the likes of returning cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver when production finally begins on the Avatar 2 next year.
