Captain America: Civil War is set to the busiest Marvel movie so far, with the likes of Cap, Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Vision, Scarlett Witch, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine, Crossbones, Baron Zemo, Agent 13 and Ant-Man (few) all set to make appearances.

However, the superhero brawler has nothing on Avengers: Infinity War, the two-part epic about Thanos’s hunt for the Infinity Stones. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed Thor will definitely be back, as will members of the Guardians of the Galaxy team (or at least Chris Pratt's Star-Lord).

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Anthony said of the films: "The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done.

"[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited.”

Joe then spoke about Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: "I'm excited to work with Thor. They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”

James Gunn - who directed Guardians of the Galaxy - is currently working on Vol. 2, and previously said that Marvel has already asked him to work on a third film.

Meanwhile, Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by Taika Waititi, best known for a bunch of Flight of the Conchords episodes, 2014’s What We Do In The Shadows and Eagle vs Shark.

A new clip from Captain America: Civil War debuted at the MTV Movie Awards, showing team Cap hunting down villain Crossbones.
