Beyonce Lemonade: The unlikely artists to feature on the singer's new album

From Diplo to Father John Misty, it's quite an eclectic mix

Never one to do anything half measured, Beyoncé dropped her new album on Saturday night sending her fans into a frenzy.

Her first record since her surprise self-titled debut in 2013, Lemonade was initially made available to stream on TIDAL but has since been uploaded to iTunes.

The record includes 11 brand new tracks alongside the previously released "Formation" which she performed at this year's Super Bowl 50 halftime show alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars.

Fans immediately noticed that several lyrics off the record appear to openly criticise her husband Jay-Z. Casting your glance over the track listing's credits, however, may throw forward a few unexpected names.

For example, the album's second track "Hold Up" - which memorably samples "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs - was collectively (and rather uniquely) co-written by Father John Misty, Diplo, Soulja Boy and Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koening.

A Jack White collaboration arrives with the song "Don't Hurt Yourself" which also bears a writing credit for Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant (probably due to the sampling of their classic song "When the Levee Breaks").

Elsewhere, The Weeknd guests on "6 Inch" - which features samples of Animal Collective song "My Girls" and Isaac Hayes' "Walk on By" (meaning Burt Bacharach notches up a credit too) - while Kendrick Lamar provides vocals on "Freedom".

James Blake - who is headlining this year's Field Day - features on song "Forward" as well as producing "Don't Hurt Yourself" and opening track "Pray You Catch Me".

Interestingly, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song lyric that is used in "Hold Up" was tweeted by Koenig five years ago; since Lemonade's release, he has responded to the same tweet leading fans to believe that the project - or the collaboration, at least - has been in the works for quite some time now.
