Woody Allen’s new film Blue Jasmine has premiered in Paris. The Oscar-winning actor and director was accompanied by his wife Soon-Yi Previn.

The drama, excellently received by critics who are tipping it to be a contender at the Oscars next year, stars the Australian actress Cate Blanchett, who goes to live with her sister (British actress Sally Hawkins) in San Francisco after her marriage to her husband (Alec Baldwin), breaks down.

Allen’s movie, released in the US in late July, may be his highest-grossing yet.
