There may be just two days to go until Christmas, but the marketing team behind The Woman in Black sequel are bringing festive terror to cinemagoers.

The entertaining prank sees innocent film fans scared out of their wits when a promo poster for Tom Harper’s Angel of Death comes to life. Their screams are deafening, not that we can blame them – take a look at the video below.

Set in England in 1941, the film sees two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House for refuge from the blitz.

Little do they know that an evil far more frightening awaits them when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black, who "never forgives, never forgets and never left".

Starring Phoebe Fox, Helen McCrory, Jeremy Irvine and Oaklee Pendergast, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death hits UK cinemas on New Year’s Day.

Of course, there are plenty of jumps and screams in store, so best take a pillow to hide behind.
