It turns out Tom Hardy did play a role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The actor played a stormtrooper, following in the footsteps of Daniel Craig who played a member of the First Order in JJ Abrams' 2015 film The Force Awakens . However, fans will have to wait a little longer to see the Peaky Blinders stars appearance - it will reportedly feature in a version of Rian Johnson's film released on DVD and Blu-ray in 2018.
