Allegro (15) <!-- none onestar twostar threestar fourstar fivestar -->
A slight, pretentious Danish sci-fi romance, notable mainly for the former supermodel Helena Christensen's acting debut. Scarred by lost love, a pianist renounces his past life, inadvertently creating an impassable, seemingly lifeless "zone" in central Copenhagen as a receptacle for all his memories: 10 years later, he must re-enter the zone to put his life back together again. Boe clearly intends all sorts of lessons about love and accepting unhappiness, but the big lesson here is that some people should be kept well away from Tarkovsky films.
