A prison-break movie with a twist.

Diane Kruger plays a woman convicted for a murder she didn't commit. Three years into a 20-year stretch she becomes suicidal, prompting her husband (Vincent Lindon) to hatch an audacious plan to spring her. "You're a teacher, not a gangster," his brother tells him, but Lindon certainly shows a criminal's determination in preparing the ground and raising the loot necessary. The last half-hour is fraught with near-unbearable tension, as the writer-director Fred Cavaye runs the escape plot alongside the concerted efforts of les flics to foil it. Escaping's the easy part, an old lag says – it's staying free that's hard. But on this evidence escaping looks damned hard, too.
