Enter the diminutive Tom Cruise, and the normally reliable action star is unsuited (and appears weirdly detached) in this disappointing adaptation of Child's 10th Reacher novel, One Shot. Why not start with the first in the series, the enjoyable Killing Floor? Anyhow, Reacher is on the trail of a sniper who has taken the lives of five random victims.
