Since the Terminator first blazed on to cinema screens in 1984, it has fulfilled to be back again and again. As Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returns for a second series, the format is familiar. The setting is present day Los Angeles and Sarah Connor is trying to protect her son John, a future leader of the human resistance, from the killer robots sent back from the future. Lena Headey is the series' strong focal point as Sarah, while the plot lines and action keep things interesting. Yet the script is often so clunky it might have been written by the robots. It is certainly worth a look for fans but won't win a new audience.
