DVD & Blu-ray: Cosmopolis (15)

Cronenberg's fragmented, verbose discourse on capitalism takes place, mainly, in a 28-year-old billionaire's stretch limo, which is "cork-lined against street noise".

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson plays the wealthy blank who spouts nonsense ("Talent is more erotic when it's wasted") and listens to more nonsense ("You do reek a sexual discharge") from a cavalcade of advisers (including Juliette Binoche's art dealer and Samantha Morton's financial whizz) and his cold-hearted wife (Sarah Gadon, excellent). This Don DeLillo adaptation is a claustrophobic experience, and often impenetrable, but it's also bold, unravelling like a waking nightmare...
