The spirit of The Wire and My Beautiful Laundrette are evoked in Sally El Hosaini's heartfelt, anxiety-making debut about two Anglo-Egyptian brothers living in a Hackney high rise.

The older one, Rashid (James Floyd), is a charismatic drug dealer, the younger one, Mo (Fady Elsayed), is more gauche and impressionable. On paper, it's another hoary gangland tale, but the cinematography is excellent in this sometimes distressing, always gripping drama.
