“I’m not OK, they want to kill me,” pleads Stephen Moyer to his best pal, Michael (Jack Davenport). Who are “they”? Vampires, of course.

This supernatural thriller was made in 1998, back when Buffy was at the height of its bitey powers. A languid Davenport is good value as the charming copper forced to sign up with a shadowy vampire-hunting organisation. Idris Elba and Susannah Harker also star in Channel 4’s enjoyable, but dated, series.
