In a Walt Disney film that's only just on the wrong side of a divide between insultingly naked commercialism and postmodern genius, the US popstrel Miley Cyrus stars as Miley, a teenager with a pop-star alter ego, Montana, who is dragged home to Tennessee by her father, Robby Ray (played by Billy Ray, Cyrus's real-life father) because she's all spoilt and bratty and needs to be instilled with good old-fashioned values. Kids seem to like it, and it's unlikely to do them any harm.
