Working from a rare duffer of a script by Peter (Frost/Nixon) Morgan, Clint Eastwood directs this soggily religious, three-stranded ramble around the topic of life after death.

The most interesting storyline involves Matt Damon as a reluctant medium, but even that gets silly when Damon meets Derek Jacobi (as himself). Another section, about a journalist's search for proof of the afterlife, leaves all her searching offscreen. Bizarre.
