DVD: Lipstick Jungle: Season One (15)

Those missing their fix of relationships, fashion and friendships since Carrie et al graduated to the big screen might look to another TV series based on a Candace Bushnell novel.

Lipstick Jungle follows a slightly older trio: Wendy (Brooke Shields) is a movie exec trying not to emasculate her stay-at-home husband; her designer friend Victory is enjoying dating a billionaire; while fashion magazine editor Nico has begun an affair with a young photographer. But the show fails to tap into a zeitgeist as Sex and the City did, and the characters lack depth. With just seven episodes and the only extras being a few deleted scenes, it's hardly great value.
