As the title might indicate, this charmingly mellow little Italian comedy isn't strictly seasonal either, but it's dripping with holiday spirit.

The director, Gianni Di Gregorio, stars as a middle-aged bachelor who shares a cramped flat in Rome with his mother, and is coerced into having three other old women to stay with them over the August long weekend. Devoid of any crises greater than the fishmonger's being closed, it slips down as easily as the hero's many glasses of white wine.
