Based on true events, Lars Jacobson and Amardeep Kaleka's Cradle Will Fall tells the story of a mother with post-natal depression so severe that she goes on a killing rampage.

Rather than going into the psychological reasons for this shocking and common affliction, the film aims to shock: what results is a sometimes over-the-top, comical farce, reaching its peak when Colleen Porch, playing Mom, chases after her children in a combine harvester. Porch's deranged stares, clichéd one-liners and lack of characterisation do not help matters. Happily, Ridge Canipe shines as Jimmy, portraying a son striving to cope with all this madness.
